Message: | Hello Everyone !!!
The season is just getting rolling , and we need to plan the events if any... that your child would like to skate for competitions.
Currently I have information about the PARKLAND regionals Jan 13 and 14 2018
Please go to the SKate Manitoba website and click on the header marked " competitions " then choose the drop down marked Regional competitions then go to Parkland region.
I recommend that your child skate in one or two or maybe even 3 different events. I do not recommend doing more than 5.
Happiness is on the ice !!!!!!! Donna |

INFORMATION FROM CANSKATE AND INTRO TO CANSKATE PARENT MEETING OCT 3RD
posted Oct 6, 2017, 4:18 PM
Please be ready to go on the ice at the start time.
Use dressing room 2 or 3 to put on skates etc. Do not leave valueables in the room as it is not locked
You and your child will enter the ice via the zamboni doors. The zamboni doors close a few minutes after the session starts so if something happens you are late please use the timekeeper box entrance.
Each child has a name tag which will be picked and dropped off just prior to the zamboni doors. there also will be an attendance sheet that they will put a sticker on each session. For the CanSkaters there also will be a colored pipe cleaner to be attached to the skaters skate. The pipe cleaners group the kids and also are easy to change kids to different groups through the year.
Please dress your child and yourself in light, easy to move in clothing. We have the luxery of a warm rink so dress in layers. No ski pants these are way too hot. Mitts are a must. No Fuzzy mitts please as these leave peices on the ice. If your child has long hair please tie it back out of their face. No gum or candy on the ice.
Helmets are required for everyone under the age of 18. (With the exception of StarSkaters). Helmet must be CSA approved and not expired. No Bike helmet, snow boarding helmets etc.
Please make sure your child has gone to the washroom prior to going on the ice. Our ice time is only 30 minutes so we want to make the most of it.
CanSkate parents - do not leave the arena. if your child needs a washroom break or needs help we call on the parents to assist us. If your child needs to leave the ice for whatever reason they will be at the timekeepers box door.
If you are wanting to discuss with Coach Donna please do so after the session. prior and during the session there is no time.
